Vision Camp 2023

We're thrilled to share the success of Summer Vision Camp 2023, a full week where visually impaired and blind campers embraced growth and empowerment. Off-site adventures included exploring The Creative Discovery Museum and navigating the UTC campus during an extensive tour. We cooked and cleaned in the adapted kitchen at the Assistive Technology Center and worked on independent living skills to build confidence. Craft sessions ignited creativity through painting and turning wood on the lathes to make ornaments, pens, and keychains. Our campers showcased remarkable growth individually and as a group as the worked together and bonded in friendship. A heartfelt thank you to our staff, volunteers, and partners such as various Lions Clubs who sponsored campers, Subway for providing a meal, and the Tri-state Woodturners for volunteering their time and staffing the grill on Friday.
